- Auxiliary History Book
The latest Auxiliary History Book that brings the information up-to-date

- For Safety's Sake, Volume II - 2008
The newest edition of For Safety's Sake, Volume II - 2008 has been released. This new issue was released on June 21st and is available for downloading from the V Departments Newsletter page. In this issue is: 2007 Results, Communications, Educational Thrusts, Training, The Bell Revisited, The Wear It Campaign, 2007 Be A Survivor Essay Winners, Reality Strikes Home, Inflatable Life Jackets and more. - National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will be hosting public meetings/hearings in Washington DC, Portland and Chicago over the next two months on additional information for the discharge permit for vessels. Members are encouraged to attend as private citizens to make their concerns as recreational boaters known to the EPA, but cannot give input in uniform or use auxiliary titles unless they receive permission from their District Commodore, Director of Auxiliary, and District Commander. Questions should be directed via the National Legislative Liaison Committee website.

- Travel Voucher Form Updated
The Travel Voucher, DD-1351-2 and Continuation, DD-1351-2C eForms have been revised to reflect the changes to some airlines which are now charging for baggage. The expense drop down menus now include Aircraft Baggage Charge. Travelers must use this code to be reimbursed for baggage fees.

- Changes To Trident Education Requirements
Trident Update Bulletin 2008-01 (PDF: 1 page / 125KB) describes the change in the educational requirements for both the MS Training Ribbon and Trident device. The change brings these requirements into compliance with the ICS requirements established in ALAUX 002/07.

- USCG Boating Safety Hotline Discontinued
The USCG Boating Safety Hotline 1-800-number was discontinued due to budget shortfalls. This number appears on several brochures and sites and is no longer in operation. It should be marked through on brochures prior to distribution.

- Auxiliary National Conference (NACON) Registration
A printable PDF version of the registration form (PDF: 1 page / 80KB) has been added to the NACON website which may be completed by hand and mailed with payment to Ann Beecher, N-CR at the address provided on the form. Contact Ann at Beecher@centurytel.net if you have any questions regarding registration for NACON 2008. We are continuing to update the website as more information becomes available for posting. Plan to attend now, register and make your reservations early so you do not miss out on a great time in Orlando.
