- Operations Directorate Re-Alignment
Effective July 1, 2007, the Operations and Marine Safety and Environmental Protection Departments realigned to enhance service. These two Departments have aligned themselves along the Sector constructs of Prevention, the M Department, and Response, and the O Department. This realignment has resulted in these moves: Aids to Navigation Division has been moved from the O to the M Department and retitled Navigation Services Division. Incident Management Division has moved from the M to the O Department. This realignment is endorsed by the National Board and demonstrates again the response to the member’s desires for change in some areas.

- National Marina Day: 11 August 2007
August 11th has been designated as National Marina Day by the Association of Marina Industries. This event will provide the Auxiliary with a great opportunity to develop and/or strengthen our Recreational Boating Safety and Security partnerships. A Team approach is suggested, utilizing our RBS specialists (PE, PV & VE) and supported by a public affairs member to maximumize the delivery of our RBS message. The Team could establish a menu of services for that day: VSC station, PE workshops (GPS, life jacket selection/fitting, AWW, etc.), and/or a boating safety exhibit.
