WHAT'S NEW ARCHIVE - MARCH 2006
- Auxiliarist Watchstander Cited
Virginia Auxiliarist Jerry Rogoff has completed ten years of communications watchstanding. By itself this may be a noteworthy feat; it probably does not set an Auxiliary longevity record. But, when you consider that Rogoff reported to his watchstanding duties at least twice a week during those years, donating more than 6,240 hours of his free time, then the deed is certainly noteworthy. Be part of the audience when Auxiliarist Rogoff received his award and medal, now on SITREP, the Auxiliary’s National e-magazine.

- Don’t Discard Those Change Of Watch Flyers
What seems commonplace to you today will be a treasured history in a few years. Consider starting a 2006 History (“scrap”?) Book starting with your program and photos from the change of watch. Each month, you can add to your book, so that at the end of the year you have a Treasury of memories of the year. We recommend that each unit – district, division, and flotilla – designate an official historian to collect and forward these materials to our Auxiliary archives. For more ideas on effective stewardship of our history resources, check out the Public Affairs Auxiliary History site.
