BOATING (B)
The Department of Boating (B), under the program guidance of the U.S. Coast Guard Office of Boating Safety and the direction of the Auxiliary Directorate of Recreational Boating Safety, provides assistance to Coast Guard units, Auxiliary National Departments and Auxiliary District organizations in their efforts to promote and support recreational boating safety programs.
Some of its area of responsibilities are:
- State Boating Law Administrator RBS (Recreational Boating Safety) Liaison
- Grants for Flotillas/Divisions
- State Liaison Officer Qualification Examinations
- RBS Partnership Agreements (Memorandums of Agreement/Understanding)
- Waterways Management With NASBLA (National Association of State Boating Law Administrators)
